Body Dryer Comparison
If you are weighing up a body dryer, this page sets out how the Tornado compares with towels and with the other body dryers currently sold in the USA and Canada. Competitor figures are taken only from each manufacturer’s own published specifications. Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure we have written “Not published” rather than estimating it.

Two notes on reading that table honestly. Air temperature is not directly comparable across these products: Valiryo publishes a rise above ambient rather than an absolute output, and Airozoom publishes nothing, so the column is informative rather than a like-for-like ranking. And none of the four products listed, including ours, publishes a UL or ETL listing for North America.
Who the Tornado is not right for
It is worth being straight about this, because a return is expensive for everyone.
- Bathrooms with no route to a dedicated 240V circuit. If running a new circuit from the panel is impractical in your property, this is not the product for you.
- Enclosures smaller than 36 x 36 in. The unit will physically fit in less, but it will not be comfortable to use.
- Anyone unwilling to use a licensed electrician. The unit is hardwired and is not designed for owner installation. We do not support DIY fitting.
- Anyone who needs a certified-to-North-American-standards appliance today. The unit is not UL or ETL Listed. If your project, insurer or authority having jurisdiction requires that listing, it is not currently available.
- Renters who cannot alter the property. This is a fixed installation, not a portable device.
Where the Tornado does well
Full-height coverage that dries seated or standing, a pneumatic wall switch with no electrics at the point of touch, delivery to the USA and Canada with all duties and taxes included so there is nothing to pay on arrival, six finishes plus any RAL or automotive colour, and a US-registered company you can call during CT business hours.
