Option 1: Choose a RAL number
RAL is the European standard color-matching system used across paint, coatings and architecture. RAL Classic has around 215 colors, each identified by a four-digit code — for example RAL 9010 Pure White, RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey or RAL 5013 Cobalt Blue. Because every code is a precise, published standard, a body shop can mix any RAL color exactly. Browse the chart, note the code, and that is all we need.

Option 2: Choose a car color
Every production car color ever sold has a manufacturer paint code, and the major refinish paint suppliers — PPG, Axalta, BASF/Glasurit and Sherwin-Williams — hold the exact mixing formula for every one of those codes going back decades. That is what lets a body shop repaint a single door and have it match the rest of the car perfectly. It is also exactly how we paint your dryer: give us the code, and the shop mixes the same paint that went on the car.
Take British Racing Green as an example. BRG is really a family of greens rather than one color: Jaguar has used more than one BRG code over the years, and Bentley, MG and Mini each have their own version. Two cars can both be "British Racing Green" and be visibly different shades. That is why the color name alone is not quite enough — tell us the make, and ideally the paint code, and the shop will mix the exact green you have in mind rather than its cousin.
Finding a paint code is easier than it sounds. It is printed on the vehicle's compliance or VIN plate — usually inside the driver's door jamb, under the hood, or in the trunk — and for many makes it is also in the owner's manual. If the car is not in front of you, paint codes are searchable online by make, model and year.
Some favorites our buyers might choose: British Racing Green, Ferrari Rosso Corsa, Porsche Guards Red, Tesla Deep Blue Metallic, Range Rover Santorini Black, Mercedes Obsidian Black, Lamborghini Verde Mantis. These are examples of colors we can match, not products we sell — any color from any manufacturer works.
Metallic and pearlescent colors are no problem. They are applied as a base coat followed by a clear coat, exactly the same way they are applied to the car.
How it works
- Order the Tornado Body Dryer and select "Custom colour" at checkout.
- Tell us your RAL number, or your car's make, model, color name and paint code.
- We confirm the color with you by email before painting.
- Your dryer is painted, clear-coated, cured and shipped — allow 7 extra days.
The finish
Your dryer is painted in 2K automotive polyurethane paint and clear coat, cured to a hard, non-porous surface. It is resistant to heat, steam, water and household cleaners, and suitable for wet rooms and shower enclosures. Care is simple: warm soapy water — no abrasives or solvents. Custom-color units carry the same warranty as the standard unit.
Please note: custom-colour units are made to order and cannot be returned unless faulty. Standard finishes remain returnable under our normal 30-day policy.
